The official of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of the Russian Federal Authority for the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare (Ros Potrip Nadzor) said that predictions that the spread of “COVID 19” will slow in warm weather have not been fulfilled.

And the deputy director of clinical and analytical work at the institute added, that the high temperature, as well as high humidity, did not affect the strength of the transmission of the emerging coronavirus.

On the other hand, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said today, Tuesday, that a vaccine against Covid-19 may be ready by the end of the year.

“We will need vaccines, and there is hope that we will have a vaccine by the end of this year. There is hope,” he added, after a two-day meeting of the organization’s executive board on the pandemic.

There are nine experimental vaccines at the WHO-led Kovacs initiative, which aims to distribute two billion doses of protective Covid-19 vaccine by the end of 2021.
